  • The Laundry is an all-day bistro, cafe and wine shop on Coldharbour Lane in Brixton, South London. Inspired by classic European neighbourhood bistros, it serves food all day and into the evening, with an inventive cocktail bar, a covered heated terrace and private dining spaces below ground.

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 11pm. Friday: 8:30am to midnight. Saturday: 10am to midnight. Sunday: 10am to 8pm, with last bookings at 6pm.

  • Walk-ins are welcome and some tables are kept available throughout the day. Booking is strongly advised at weekends, whether you want to sit inside or on the terrace.

  • Yes. There is a covered and heated alfresco terrace that serves food and cocktails until late.

  • Yes. Brunch is a key part of The Laundry's offering, particularly at weekends.

  • The Sunday roast is taking a break for now. In its place, The Laundry is serving all-day Sunday brunch from 10am to 4pm, with last food orders at 3.45pm. Come and make a morning or afternoon of it.

  • Yes. The Laundry allows BYO wine with a corkage charge of £25 per bottle. On Tuesdays there is no corkage charge at all. Please note that corkage cannot be accommodated for group bookings of 12 or more, except on Tuesdays when it remains free.

  • Yes. There is a cakeage charge of £15 per cake for standard bookings. For group set menu bookings, there is no charge for bringing your own cake.

  • Yes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

  • A 12.5% discretionary service charge is applied to all bills. This is passed in full to the kitchen and front of house team.

  • Yes. The Laundry has two private dining rooms in the lower ground floor: La Table de Carmen (up to 20 guests) and the Drying Room (up to 14 guests). The two rooms can be opened into one space for groups of 20 to 34. Group dining is also possible in the ground floor cafe area and on the terrace. Group dining is priced at £39 per person for a two-course set menu including nibbles and dessert, with a breakfast set menu available at £28 per person.

  • Group bookings of 12 or more receive a selection of complimentary light nibbles, a choice of main course (with meat, fish and vegan options) and chocolate mousse to finish. Starters can be added to make it a three-course feast for £49 per person.

  • Email info@thelaundrybrixton.com. The terrace can accommodate up to 60 guests and, combined with the ground floor bar, can host events for 60 to 100. Standing canape functions for up to 45 guests are also available in the lower ground floor from £25 per person.

  • Group dining reservations are subject to a 7-day cancellation policy at £39 per person. Minor adjustments are accepted within 7 days if communicated by email. Groups are given 3.5 hours for their booking.

  • The Laundry is curated by Chef Sommelier Melanie Brown, whose cooking is rooted in European culinary tradition with New World creativity.
