At The Laundry, L’Apéro runs Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm, with £10 cocktails, £6 pints and £6 house wine. It is the post-work, pre-dinner, “just one drink” window that often becomes something more useful.

Set on Coldharbour Lane, The Laundry is a relaxed Brixton spot for after-work drinks, terrace tables, cocktails and evening food.

L’Apéro is made for the moment between the day and the night. Come in for a quick drink, stay for snacks or let it roll into dinner.

Pair your drink with spiced mixed nuts, Perelló olives, pork croquettes with salsa roja or potato skin chicharrónes with lardons, Montgomery’s cheddar, goddess and green onions.

One drink and a snack is a plan. Two drinks and dinner is also a plan.

The Laundry works for after-work drinks in Brixton, pre-gig drinks, catch-ups, date nights and the very important local ritual of needing somewhere good between 5pm and 7pm.

It is close to Brixton Station, easy to reach from the office, and relaxed enough that you do not need a big reason to come in. House wine, a pint, a cocktail, a few snacks, done.

If the table gets hungry, the evening can keep going with dishes from the all-day menu, including prawn and lobster cocktail, hot-sour aubergine, Thai-style chicken salad or steak frites.
