At The Laundry Brixton, private dining rooms mean warm hospitality, proper food, good wine, cocktails and a lower ground floor setting made for birthdays, office parties, family lunches, intimate dinners and everything in between.

Our private dining spaces, La Table de Carmen and The Drying Room, can seat up to 20 and 14 guests respectively. For larger groups, the adjoining rooms can open into one larger space for 20 to 34 guests, or 36 at a squeeze. Cosy, useful, and very good at making a group booking feel like an actual occasion.

Private dining without the awkward bit

Some private dining rooms feel like someone has hidden you from the restaurant. Not here.

The Laundry’s lower ground floor spaces give your group a bit more privacy while keeping the warmth, food and energy of the bistro close by. You get your own dedicated host, space to settle in, and a menu that keeps everyone fed without turning the whole thing into admin.

It is private enough to feel special, relaxed enough to feel like The Laundry. A useful combination.

Group menus, proper food and a table that works

For group dining bookings of 12 or more, The Laundry offers a 2026 group dining set menu at £39 per person. The menu begins with complimentary light nibbles, followed by a choice of main course, with meat, fish and vegan choices available, and The Laundry’s famous chocolate mousse to finish.

There is also the option to add starters and make it a real feast, with a selection of three starters, nibbles, main and dessert for £49 per guest.

For breakfast events, breakfast set menus are available from £28 per person. Very useful for morning meetings, team breakfasts and anyone trying to make “early start” sound more appealing.

Birthdays, office parties and family lunches

The private dining rooms work well for the group bookings that need a little more shape.

Special birthdays. Office parties. Family lunches. Intimate dinners. Client meals. Team celebrations. A long table where everyone can actually hear each other. All the good reasons to gather, with none of the usual group-booking panic.

You can pre-order drinks or wines to be ready for arrival, speak to your host about how you would like drinks service managed, and let the team know about dietary and allergy requirements ahead of time. Smooth service starts before anyone has asked, “Are we splitting the bill?”

Wine, cocktails and the useful extras

The Laundry is an all-day bistro and wine shop, so drinks are not treated as an afterthought.

For group dining, you can pre-order wines and drinks from the latest drinks offering, so they are set and ready when your guests arrive. There is also the option to kick-start your group dining with a bespoke sommelier-led New Zealand wine tasting experience for a minimum of 10 guests, from £40 per person.

Good food, good wine, a room downstairs and someone else thinking about the timings. Very sensible. Very enjoyable.
