Summer Brunch in Brixton

Summer brunch in Brixton has a certain logic to it. You get up, eventually. You find the people. You order coffee. Someone mentions cocktails. Someone else says, “Should we sit outside?” and suddenly the day has found its shape.

At The Laundry, brunch is served seven days a week on Coldharbour Lane, with Turkish Eggs, the Laundry Fry Up, toasted banana bread with salted honeycomb butter, The Dirty, proper coffee, cocktails and a covered terrace for the days when brunch outside feels non-negotiable.

No stopwatch. No stiff tables. No sad eggs. Just brunch with a bit of Brixton energy and enough time to enjoy it properly.

Brunch made for longer days

Summer gives brunch permission to stretch. What starts as breakfast can become lunch. What starts as coffee can become a Bloody Maria. What starts as “just a quick one” can become the main plan.

The Laundry handles that sort of table very well. Turkish Eggs arrive with poached eggs, whipped yoghurt, hot chilli butter and sourdough. The Laundry Fry Up does what it needs to do, with eggs, slow-roasted tomatoes, house smoky beans, streaky bacon, field mushrooms, hash brown and sourdough. The banana bread comes toasted with salted honeycomb butter, which is exactly as sensible as it sounds.

This is brunch with actual food behind it. Always helpful.

Outdoor brunch on the terrace

Fresh air improves brunch. We are not claiming this has been peer reviewed, but we feel strongly about it.

The Laundry’s covered and heated terrace is there for summer brunches, slow coffees, group catch-ups, birthday tables and those mornings that seem to gently turn into afternoons. It gives you the outdoor feeling without making the whole booking dependent on a perfect forecast.

A terrace table, good food, cocktails nearby and no one asking why brunch is happening at 2pm. Very reasonable.

Brunch near Brixton station

If you are looking for summer brunch near Brixton station, The Laundry is easy to find and even easier to stay in.

We are close to Brixton station, Brixton Village and Electric Avenue, which makes us a good place to start before a wander, after the market, before a gig, after Brockwell Park or instead of whatever plan was originally in the group chat.

Brixton gives you reasons to be out. Brunch is one of the better ones.
