Weekday Dining in Brixton

Weekday dining does not need a grand reason. It just needs a good table, something worth ordering and maybe a drink if the day has earned it.

At The Laundry Brixton, the week comes with a few very good excuses: £15 plats du jour, £8 cocktails, free corkage Tuesdays, Laundry Locals, and a steak frites sandwich to go if lunch needs to move quickly.

We are on Coldharbour Lane with breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, cocktails, wine and a covered terrace, so your weekday plan can be quick, lazy, spontaneous or quietly excellent.

£15 plates of the day

Our plats du jour keep the week moving.

Mondays bring a fish brioche burger with panko crust and preserved lemon tartare. Tuesdays are for pie, with the flavour changing by the week. Wednesdays mean steak frites, with grilled bavette, café de Paris butter and fries.

It is midweek dining with a bit more intention. No sad desk lunch. No “what have we got in the fridge?” Just a proper plate and a reason to sit down.

Lunch that knows what it is doing

Monday to Friday, the steak frites sandwich is available to go for £10. Thinly sliced grilled bavette steak, café de Paris butter and fries, served in a freshly baked baguette.

It is quick, yes. But it is not boring. Important distinction.

After-work drinks and dinner

Leave the laptop. Keep the appetite.

L’Apéro runs Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm, with cocktails for £8. Come for an after-work drink, stay for dinner, or let the terrace do what terraces do best and keep you there longer than planned.

Very common. Fully encouraged.

Tuesday corkage

Tuesday has a little extra charm at The Laundry.

Bring your own bottle and enjoy free corkage on Tuesdays. On other days, corkage is £25. Pair it with dinner, bring someone who appreciates a good bottle, and let the week improve itself.
